Job Description

As a Forest and Conservation Worker, you'll play a vital role in the preservation of our natural resources. This position involves developing and implementing conservation strategies, building partnerships with various stakeholders, and leading educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and education activities to promote conservation efforts.
• Collaborate with local organizations to enhance community engagement.
• Monitor the impact of conservation initiatives and report findings.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for volunteers.
• Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts.
• Lead habitat restoration projects and initiatives.
• Support environmental advocacy campaigns at the local and state levels.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in environmental science or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in project management within conservation

Technical Skills

• Database management (e.g. Access, SQL)

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in a second language: Bilingual candidates are highly preferred for outreach efforts.
• Experience in policy advocacy: Previous experience engaging in advocacy efforts for conservation policies.
