Job Description

We are seeking experienced Floor Sanders and Finishers who are skilled in removing old flooring materials and preparing surfaces for new installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the physical strength to handle various flooring types.

Responsibilities

• Expertly operate various floor scraping machines and hand-powered tools.
• Ensure high levels of safety and efficiency in all work practices.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections to ensure quality of work.
• Assist in the training of new team members and apprentices.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors on site.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in floor scraping or related field preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of various flooring types
• Machinery operation

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Forklift Operation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong communication skills: Ability to interact positively with clients and team members.
