Job Description

As an Animal Cruelty Investigation Supervisor, you'll lead a passionate team focused on investigating animal cruelty incidents. Your work will ensure that investigations are conducted thoroughly and ethically, providing support and resources for your team and the community. By engaging with law enforcement, volunteers, and local shelters, you will play an essential role in promoting animal welfare and justice.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of animal cruelty investigators, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for conducting animal cruelty investigations.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies to enforce animal cruelty laws and regulations.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations into reported cases of animal cruelty.
  • Collect and process evidence, including statements, photographs, and videos.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports and provide testimony in court as required.
  • Collaborate with animal shelters and veterinarians to ensure the appropriate care and treatment of animals involved in cruelty cases.
  • Educate the public on animal welfare laws and promote responsible pet ownership.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in animal welfare and cruelty prevention.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members and organizations to foster awareness of animal welfare.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in animal science, criminal justice, or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in animal welfare, law enforcement, or a related field.
