Job Description
We're seeking a compassionate Birth Doula to assist expectant families during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Your expertise will aid mothers in making informed choices and ensuring a positive birthing experience.
Responsibilities
Help mothers articulate their preferences in their birth plans.
Support the family during labor with comfort measures and emotional guidance.
Provide education on pain management options available during labor.
Facilitate family bonding by supporting active participation during childbirth.
Assist in newborn care education for parents post-delivery.
Document the labor process and assess mother's needs throughout.
Engage with community resources for additional support for families.
Maintain an organized approach to client documentation and follow-ups.
Provide follow-up support and check-ins after delivery.
Requirements
Education
Completion of childbirth education training is a plus
Additional certifications in lactation consulting preferred
Experience
Experience with diverse populations and cultural practices is advantageous
