Job Description

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily activities and personal care needs. Your empathy and dedication are pivotal in creating a nurturing environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in personal care routines, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Conduct regular safety and well-being checks.
  • Assist in organizing and leading activities to promote social interaction.
  • Document care provided in compliance with facility regulations.
  • Ensure that residents have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Assist healthcare providers in implementing specific care directives.
  • Promote a harmonious living environment through effective communication.
  • Engage in continuous training and education to enhance care skills.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss resident care strategies.
  • Encourage residents to share their preferences and choices in care.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Background in caregiving or healthcare preferred
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in home healthcare or a similar role
Technical Skills
  • Report writing
  • Medication administration
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • ACLS or BLS certification (preferred)
  • Home Health Aide certification is a plus
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Spanish: Conversational
