Job Description
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily activities and personal care needs. Your empathy and dedication are pivotal in creating a nurturing environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
Support residents in personal care routines, promoting dignity and respect.
Conduct regular safety and well-being checks.
Assist in organizing and leading activities to promote social interaction.
Document care provided in compliance with facility regulations.
Ensure that residents have access to necessary resources and services.
Assist healthcare providers in implementing specific care directives.
Promote a harmonious living environment through effective communication.
Engage in continuous training and education to enhance care skills.
Participate in staff meetings to discuss resident care strategies.
Encourage residents to share their preferences and choices in care.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Background in caregiving or healthcare preferred
Experience
1-3 years of experience in home healthcare or a similar role
Technical Skills
Report writing
Medication administration
Soft Skills
Problem-solving
Teamwork
Certifications
ACLS or BLS certification (preferred)
Home Health Aide certification is a plus
Languages
English: Fluent
Spanish: Conversational
Advantageous
Experience working with special needs individuals: Experience in caring for residents with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of local community resources: Familiarity with healthcare and support services available in the community.
