Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Stone Cutter and Carver to join our innovative team in Philadelphia. This role requires expertise in creating exquisite sculptures and statues from stone, wood, and metal using advanced carving techniques. Responsibilities
- Design and execute custom sculptures that resonate with client visions.
- Experiment with various carving styles to enhance artistry.
- Maintain meticulous records of materials and costs for projects.
- Advise on the care and maintenance of sculptures post-installation.
- Identify new trends in sculpture and adapt techniques accordingly.
- Engage with the artistic community through workshops and networking.
- Handle client consultations to understand and refine sculpture requests.
- Promote the company's artistic vision in public forums and online platforms.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding art installations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Education
- Completion of an art or design program
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts is a plus
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in stone carving or similar roles
