Job Description

We are seeking an Osteologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in analyzing skeletal remains, contributing to forensic investigations and archaeological research. In this role, you will conduct osteological analyses, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to our mission of advancing the field of biological research.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze skeletal remains to ascertain anthropological information.
  • Consult with law enforcement on forensic cases involving human remains.
  • Assist in fieldwork related to archaeological digs.
  • Document conditions of skeletal remains thoroughly for research purposes.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals in relevant studies.
  • Offer insights into forensic cases in legal settings when necessary.
  • Manage the preservation and care of skeletal specimens in collection.
  • Compile findings into reports for scientific dissemination.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to educate on osteological sciences.
  • Mentor interns and volunteers in osteological research practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Osteology, Biological Anthropology, or related field
  • Ph.D. preferred
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in osteological analysis and research.
