Machine Feeder and Offbearer

Job Description

As a Machine Feeder and Offbearer, you will be at the heart of our cotton processing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain equipment that feeds raw cotton into production machines, ensuring a seamless flow of materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment for feeding raw cotton.
• Perform routine inspections to guarantee operational efficiency.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of production outputs and material usage.
• Assist in training new staff on equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Technical training in machinery operations is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery or similar

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Knowledge of safety protocols

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with quality control processes: Knowledge of quality management and inspection processes in manufacturing.
• Forklift certification: Certification demonstrating capability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing setting.
