Job Description

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will provide crucial medical assistance to animals in emergency situations. This role requires a skilled individual capable of assessing critical conditions, administering treatments, and assisting during surgeries. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-pressure environments and demonstrate exceptional communication skills to support pet owners during emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Triaging incoming patients and providing first aid as needed.
  • Assisting veterinarians during emergency surgeries and procedures.
  • Keeping detailed records of treatments administered and observations.
  • Educating pet owners on post-treatment care and health maintenance.
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies when necessary.
  • Participating in continuous education and training sessions.
  • Collaborating with team members to improve clinic protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
Experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in an emergency veterinary clinic
