Organist

Job Description

We are searching for a talented Organist to join our team and contribute to our worship services. The successful candidate will skillfully play the organ at weekly church services, provide accompaniment for choirs and congregational singing, and prepare music for special events.

Responsibilities

• Perform organ music for Sunday services and other liturgical events.
• Collaborate with vocalists and musicians to enhance the worship experience.
• Select and prepare repertoire appropriate for the church calendar.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized music preparation area.
• Participate in community events as a representative of the church music program.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Music Performance or Composition
• Continuing education in church music preferred

Experience

• 2+ years experience performing organ music in a religious setting

Technical Skills

• Piano Skills
• Improvisation

• Teamwork
• Leadership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Music Composition Experience: Ability to compose and arrange music for church services.
• Familiarity with MIDI Software: Experience using MIDI software for compositions and arrangements.
