Playground Monitor

Job Description

The Playground Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the playground area. They will supervise outdoor activities, enforce rules, and intervene when necessary to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's safety through continuous monitoring and intervention.
• Promote positive interactions and conflict resolution among children.
• Help organize and lead recreational activities tailored to different age groups.
• Maintain daily reports of playground operations and incidents.
• Provide support and guidance for children with special needs.
• Encourage respect and cooperation amongst playground users.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in childcare, education, or a related field would be advantageous.

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a similar supervisory role: Experience managing children's activities or programs.
