Bridge Maintainer

Job Description

As a Bridge Maintainer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and ensure the structural integrity of bridges and tunnels. This role necessitates collaboration with engineers and other maintenance professionals to effectively address maintenance needs while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks while adhering to industry safety standards.
• Work closely with project managers to align on maintenance priorities.
• Train and supervise less experienced maintenance staff.
• Document maintenance activities and prepare reports for management review.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school certification in construction, welding, or maintenance preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience specifically in bridge or infrastructure maintenance

Technical Skills

• Construction Equipment Operation
• Technical Drawing Interpretation

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification
• Heavy Equipment Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in CAD Software: Experience using CAD software for drafting maintenance plans.
• Previous Work in Urban Infrastructure Maintenance: Experience in maintaining urban bridges and roadways is a plus.
