We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Seeing Eye Dog Trainer to join our team. The trainer will be responsible for training and developing guide dogs to empower visually impaired individuals, enhancing their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Manage the training environment effectively to foster learning and development.
• Conduct assessments to determine each dog's suitability for guide work.
• Provide training to clients on how to work effectively with their guide dogs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during training sessions.
• Remain open to continuous professional development and skill enhancement.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Specialized training in animal handling or therapy is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in dog training or related fields.

• Canine Psychology

• Organizational Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with veterinary practices: Experience in liaising with veterinarians or understanding canine health protocols.
• Knowledge of puppy development: Experience in training puppies for service or therapy roles.
