Cutting and Slicing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

The Machine Leather Trimmer is responsible for operating and maintaining cutting machines to trim leather materials according to specified requirements. They ensure high-quality trimming, measure and analyze materials, and work collaboratively with the production team to meet production targets within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate cutting machines, ensuring effectiveness and safety.
• Monitor production processes and maintain documentation for quality checks.
• Train new operators on machine settings and safety protocols.
• Check material quality and make adjustments to machine settings as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed for cutting and trimming operations.
• Assist with product testing and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
• Prepare reports on production metrics for management review.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and training on new machinery.
• Engage in safety audits and participate in safety training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications in machine operation or related field preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Ability to interpret technical specifications

Languages
