Job Description

As a Funeral Home Manager, you will coordinate and oversee all funeral arrangements, ensuring a compassionate and efficient service to grieving families. You will work closely with clients, staff, and external vendors to handle all aspects of the funeral process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the funeral home.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
  • Train and supervise funeral home staff to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Engage with the community to promote funeral home services and support.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Evaluate and maintain funeral home facilities and equipment.
  • Support families in creating personalized tributes and memorializations.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss service improvements and challenges.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for professional development.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Funeral Service or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role within funeral services.
