Job Description

Join our team as a Mule Packer! In this role, you'll be responsible for loading and unloading mules, packing supplies for wilderness trips, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the pack animals while providing excellent customer service to guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate mules and other pack animals for transporting goods across rugged terrains.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals during trips.
• Maintain a high level of organization when packing gear and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• Demonstrate basic first aid and emergency response skills.
• Keep logs of inventory and equipment condition.
• Assist in training new team members on packing techniques.
• Engage with guests to provide a memorable outdoor experience.
• Evaluate routes and conditions for optimal packing strategies.
• Perform regular animal care and grooming when not on trips.

Advantageous

• Experience with first aid and wilderness survival: Knowledge in providing emergency response and care in remote locations.
• Ability to speak a second language, especially Spanish: Bilingual candidates are preferred to enhance guest interactions.
