Job Description

The Drug Abuse Social Worker will work closely with individuals and families grappling with substance abuse issues, providing vital counseling and support services. This role requires a compassionate approach, aiming to change lives through both group and individual therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to create treatment goals and strategies.
  • Offer family counseling sessions to support client recovery.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and legal requirements for substance abuse treatment.
  • Encourage participation in community support programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary changes.
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to policy development.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work is preferred
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent certification required
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience specifically in mental health and substance abuse counseling
