Security Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Consultant to enhance the security posture of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and mitigating security risks while working closely with IT teams. This role requires hands-on experience in security assessments and the implementation of security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps.
• Develop and implement security frameworks in alignment with organizational goals.
• Work with IT teams to enhance incident response protocols.
• Assess and review new security technologies for implementation.
• Lead security awareness initiatives across the organization.
• Conduct forensic analysis during security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a security-conscious culture.
• Document security incidents and prepare compliance reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement of security processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Experience with regulatory compliance such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR

Advantageous

• Knowledge of threat modeling: Understanding of threat modeling methodologies and risk frameworks.
