Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. They will be responsible for ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes served while adhering to food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook dishes from the menu.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and sanitized regularly.
  • Keep track of food supplies and communicate needs to the Head Chef.
  • Help create and implement new menu items.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures for optimal food safety.
  • Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff.
  • Minimize food waste through careful portioning.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Record daily food production and spoilage accurately.
  • Support other kitchen staff as required.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in culinary school or an apprenticeship is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen
