Traffic Control Attendant

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Traffic Control Attendant to oversee traffic flow in key areas. This role involves not only directing vehicles and pedestrians but also coordinating with emergency services during critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor traffic conditions and respond quickly to incidents.
• Support the development of traffic management plans for events and construction.
• Engage with community members to raise awareness about traffic safety.
• Implement detours and road closures, communicating these changes to motorists.
• Manage safety situations effectively while maintaining a calm environment.
• Provide training and mentoring to new team members as necessary.
• Assist in planning community outreach initiatives related to traffic safety.
• Regularly review and familiarize yourself with traffic laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement or security is advantageous.

• Traffic Control Equipment Operation

Certifications

• Traffic Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Fluent

Advantageous
