Recreational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Recreational Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will develop and implement therapeutic programs that promote health and wellness for patients recovering from physical and cognitive impairments. Your creativity and expertise will help enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and create individualized activity plans.
• Implement therapy sessions in various formats, including group and individual activities.
• Track and report on patient responses to therapies and overall progress.
• Work with families to ensure holistic support for patients.
• Remain updated on best practices and new therapeutic techniques.
• Provide education to the healthcare team about recreational therapy benefits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field
• Master's degree in Recreation Therapy preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in therapeutic settings

Certifications

• Licensed Recreation Therapist
• CPR/BLS Certification

Languages
