Histology Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician to join our dynamic laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for diagnostic or research purposes while collaborating closely with pathologists and laboratory staff.

Responsibilities

• Process, embed, and cut tissue samples to make them ready for slides.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Follow established protocols for sample handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Actively engage in quality control processes, providing feedback on techniques and methods.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss workflow improvements and advancements in practices.

Advantageous

• Certification in immunohistochemistry (IHC): Preferred for candidates with experience in advanced histological analysis.
• Familiarity with quality management systems in laboratories.: Experience in implementing quality assurance protocols.
