Job Description

As an Oceanology Teacher, you will deliver high-quality education in oceanography and related fields to high school or college students. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for ocean sciences and a commitment to engaging students in discovering the wonders of marine life.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in oceanography with an emphasis on interactive and practical learning methods.
  • Assess student performance through diverse evaluation tools including projects and presentations.
  • Design a curriculum that reflects contemporary ocean science issues and advancements.
  • Work in partnership with local organizations for community outreach and environmental initiatives.
  • Mentor students in their academic and career aspirations related to marine sciences.
  • Lead research projects that provide students with real-world experience in ocean dynamics.
  • Promote environmental stewardship and awareness among students.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the varied learning needs of students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in oceanography, marine biology, or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in teaching oceanography or related subjects
