Job Description

Join our team as a Cemetery Keeper, where you’ll maintain cemetery grounds, prepare graves, and uphold the highest standards of care and respect for families during their time of grief.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cemetery grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, and planting.
• Ensure that gravesites are marked and maintained correctly.
• Assist with cemetery events, memorial services, and historical tours.
• Interact with visitors to provide a respectful experience and answer inquiries.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Develop relationships with families to facilitate their needs and concerns.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping required

Technical Skills

• Basic Landscaping Equipment

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in financial management: Knowledge of budgeting and financial management relevant to cemetery operations.
• Certification in Cemetery Management: Professional certification in cemetery or funeral services management.
