Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Virginia Beach. The ideal candidate will possess experience in individual and group therapy, along with a familiarity with various therapeutic modalities. You will be working closely with clients to assess their mental health needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews and assessments.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to improve client outcomes.
• Monitor and document client progress toward goals.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups for community outreach.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to interns or trainees.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or related field
• PsyD preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience with diverse populations

Technical Skills

• Group Therapy Facilitation
• Trauma-Informed Care

Soft Skills

• Crisis Management
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Certification in Trauma-Focused Therapy
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual (Spanish preferred): Ability to provide services in both English and Spanish is a plus.
• Background in Community Mental Health: Experience working in community settings or outreach programs.
