Job Description

As a Library Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting library operations and enhancing the community experience. Your responsibilities will include circulation tasks, shelving, and assisting patrons in accessing library resources.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the circulation of library materials by managing check-ins and check-outs.
  • Ensure all materials are shelved correctly and systematically.
  • Assist library users with locating resources and materials.
  • Engage with patrons to provide top-notch customer service.
  • Manage the addition of new items to the library system.
  • Help patrons with their technology-related queries.
  • Process payments related to overdue materials efficiently.
  • Keep the library environment clean and organized.
  • Support initiatives related to library programs and events.
  • Take on other tasks per the supervisor's request.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field is preferred.
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience is desirable.
