Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Acetylene Torch Operator to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience operating and maintaining acetylene torches to cut, weld, and shape metal components effectively while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate acetylene torches for metal cutting and welding tasks.
• Perform inspections and maintain equipment functionality.
• Understand blueprints and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
• Work closely with team members to ensure productivity and quality.
• Adjust equipment parameters to meet job specifications.
• Document all work completed and any issues encountered.
• Uphold safety regulations and practices to prevent accidents.
• Engage in training for new tools or processes when necessary.
• Assist in inventory management of tools and materials.
• Strive to enhance production processes and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in welding preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience operating acetylene torches.
