Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Railroad Carman to join our dedicated Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in railroad car mechanics and a passion for safety and efficiency in rail operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections on a daily basis.
• Maintain and service specialized railroad maintenance equipment.
• Assist in training junior mechanics on safety protocols and repair techniques.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on new railroad car designs.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in railroad car maintenance preferred

Experience

• 3-6 years in a similar role preferred

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with CMMS

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Welding Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work in various weather conditions: Comfortable performing tasks outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime: Flexibility to meet the operational demands of the railroad.
