Job Description

As a Food Preparation Worker at our grocery store, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an inviting salad bar that delights our customers. Your responsibilities will include restocking ingredients, assisting customers, and ensuring a clean and safe food environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting while interacting with patrons and contributing to their dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the appearance and organization of the salad bar to enhance customer appeal.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients and salads according to store standards.
  • Serve customers and assist with their food selection.
  • Ensure food items are at the correct temperatures and properly labeled.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the register as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Train new employees on salad bar procedures and customer service.
  • Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs to management.
  • Assist in running promotions and special events at the salad bar.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Safety Certification
Experience
  • Prior experience in a grocery store environment preferred
