Job Description

As a Ship's Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking meals that meet high culinary standards. Your expertise will ensure crew members and guests enjoy delicious, nutritious meals while adhering to strict safety regulations on board.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals while adhering to high-quality food standards.
  • Supervise assistant cooks and kitchen helpers in food preparation.
  • Implement proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Monitor food supplies and order additional stock when necessary.
  • Create innovative recipes and menus to enhance dining experiences.
  • Participate in safety audits and maintain safety standards in the galley.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation and sanitation protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in a professional kitchen.
